Default Crankshafts & head gaskets

I'm currently building a 6.0L block for my 00'TA. First off what head gaskets is everyone running? mine will have a .030 overbore. I need some suggestions and part numbers if you guys have them.

second question, I noticed the 6.0L truck crank has a wider rear main seal area than the LS1's crank. are these cranks interchangeable? also if I run the truck crank will the cars flywheel/converter/tranny have any clearance issues with this?

thanks for your input.

For my new 408 from HPE with a 4.030" bore, Erik says to use the stock GM 6.0 head gaskets. TR carries Cometic 4.100" head gaskets. Those may leave a bit too much room for detonation but I'm not quite sure that Cometic makes anything smaller than that that won't shroud your combustion chamber. Might want to call them up and ask them if you want to go the Cometic route.

That crank will not work with your car parts as far as trans/conv. It was out of a 4L80E truck. They only used that crank a few years. Best to change now to a standard LS type (Shorter oil seal area).

I've got a spare ls6 crank I'll part with if you need it.

thanks for your help, the stock 6.0L gasket is the route I will go. I really didn't want to shell out the money for the Cometics unless I had no other option.

427- thanks for your info, I was going to put the truck crank in and that saved me a lot of time and money.

Taspeed- thanks anyway, but I still have a stock LS1 crank that came out of the original motor.
