Default 4L60E power range?

does anyone know exactly how much power you can run through a unmodified 4L60E?

No.

Too many variables and they are not all created equally.

Some lose parts with virtually stock power, some go wheels up for awhile. You just never know. I lost a clutch pack in mine a couple thousand miles after camming it, with only 55k total.

All articles I've read says the dealer estimated it could hold 300-350 HP tops, but there are no guarantees.

I should hope so considering that some SLP versions come 345hp. It wouldn't be very smart to warranty something but not build the tranny to withstand the horsepower.

we have guys going 10.7 @ 127 mph @ 3600 lbs raceweight on stock 4L60e trannys. this car made 529 rwhp through a big stall on a big shot of nitrous.

dont be an idiot, change fluids, and dont hot lap it. it will survive for a while.

I lost a clutch pack and since I got the converter/temp gauge I never let it get over 210 at the track and didn't even go enough miles to need to change the fluids. Hard street driving was all it took.
