Patriot Heads with stock Cam
Thinking of just putting Patriot Stage 2 LS1 heads on my car and keeping the cam stock for now. I'm not sure what cam i want yet. Is it ok to have the high lift springs that come with the heads with your stock cam. Any idea on perfromance gains on pretty much all stock car. Only have catback and airlid.

Usally people do the H/C at the same time, but its your choice. The springs should'nt mess up the stock cam and lifters, but I assum that you have a M6 tranny then I suggest you to get some strong after marked pushrods CompCam or TSP chrome molly ones will be good, and since the heads is not on yet I will suggest that if you want some titanium retainers now is the perfect time to put them on. If you don't want to touch the stock cam for some time and still want more power and lift, then some 1.8 ratio stock replacement rocker arms will more than enough to add some more lift to your set up.

You will hit about 365rwhp/370rwtq if you have all the other bolt ons. I did this combo for a customer once. Id look for a chaep cam at the same time. A small 224 cam will crack 400, not effect driveability, and can be found used for 150 bucks or so.
