Hey, just wanted to chime in, been a member for a while here, and say WOW!!! This car is so pimp!!!!
I cannot express how much im loving this car. I have it parked it front so that i can see it from my window and for the last two night, i havent closed the blinds....
I have been reading however, about some of the trouble areas that are inherited with the V'z. Though it is a annoying, the warranty is there for you to claim as much as you can on a NEW car. I just wont have anything less.
But besides the complaining, and i know i complain two...we cant help it....these cars are absolutely sweet!!! And well Balanced. Nice luxurious look with a touch of sport (LS6= sweet!!!!!) I got my 05 with the carbon fiber engine kit and honestly, as soon as i raised the hood, i was sold...before i even drove it!!!
Anyways, im kinda new to the warranty thing thsi being my first new car or a car with a warranty. I understand that you cant just throw a set of heads or a cam and expect caddillac to accept that...well, if they dont know, it wont hurt them right?
But what mods CAN i do to make her drive better and sill maintain or not void the warranty?
I would like to do a short shifter upgrade (a must, i believe) and maybe some suspension stuff or intake/exhaust work but im under the impression if they can see it "different", than im in trouble.
Anyways, just wanted to post this since i cant seem to stop thinking about the V......DUDE!!! And any help would be very appreciated....
thanks ya'll....

We have a great tune that we perform on the 05' and we may be able to do it via mail, I need to talk to my tuner to see if he is willing but it ups the power over 25WHP with the tune alone! It also gets rid of the torque management that REALLY holds these cars back. Let me know if it sounds good to you, we normally don't do tunes via mail as they are difficult to get right but with the car stock, it should be no problem. Talk to our customers that are on here occasionally, they will happily tell you how well it drives. Believe it or not after the tune one of our customers (LS6CAD) was able to lay waste to a C6 all the way up to 130MPH!
Let us know if there is anything we can do for you,
-Bryan
**Eric, if you are on here you might like to tell him how well it did for you!**

Congrats on the V, It's an amazing car. I've had mine for a little over 3 months and I have almost 7000 miles on it, I just can't stop driving it. And just when I thought that this car was perfect and couldn't get any better, I was wrong . I had my STOCK V tuned a couple of weeks ago and I can't believe the difference in just a tune. The Race-Prep Guys netted me 20rwhp on my bone stock V (down to the paper filter and all), and that was'nt just peak power but power across the whole RPM Range. The torque management is what really holds these cars back in stock form. After the tune this car is a completely different animal, This car now gets to just stupid speeds in no time flat. And as Bryan mentioned I had no problem laying waste to a C6 up to 130. I know that the tune is what gave me the advantage! Thanks again to the RACE-PREP crew, I'll be back soon for some more work

Congrats on the purchase. It has been my experience that some dealers are more lenient (sp?) than others as to what voids the warranty. For the most part anything that is obviously not stock will raise some red flags at the dealer. You will have to use your own best judgement. I would stick with the tune and short throw shifter. You should be fine since they cant be seen very easily with the naked eye.

thanks for the invite guys/gals......i'm feeling like when you new santa claus was real (wait, he's not real?!) and you went to the tree on christmas morning and all you felt was a resonance of happiness...........DUDE!!! ITS so unreal that im driving this car right!!! Like it was said, i cant stop driving this thing.
LS6CAD....whe you service these vehicles.....have they ever scanned it and seen a difference in tune? I want to tune her , get a shifter (again a must i feel), possible the corsa exhaust which wont void the warranty and maybean CAI. Not sure which one but the MORE got over 20RWHP from an intake...thats awesome....I wish my lid did that!!!!
So, basically, how r u guys getting this mods done with the warranty and not voiding it.....or are you not caring about the warranty and bringing these cars to life regardless of the warranty?
thanks again.....got go drive the V!!!!!
(Man, im looking at it right now and i cant still believe it. Ive called the sales rep about a dozen or so times just telling him "SWEET!!!" and hanging up.....dont want to miss any V driving time on a stupid phone!!!)

Welcome to the drug we are all addicted to. And I see the mad bug has bit you already. As far as aftermarket goes check out the faq, maybe Stealth tune? I've herd a lot of guys rave about it. Stealth is a guy over a cadillacowners.com, who owns a V a personalized the tuning. Check out the other forum to see what others have done and their reviews. As far as warranty goes Cadillac is being very strict! I just noticed you are blessed with being in Miami. A guy on the other forum, v-series-tech works out of a dealer in Miami, if I could go to no one else but him I would!

Congrats!
Race-prep does some GREAT work! They tuned my baby (in sig) and they sold me... won't be going anywhere else for work now. Bryan's tuner knows his $hit and is awesome with LSx engines. It's nuts what they did to that stock V that the had in there... 349RWHP was what it was when it left i believe? DAYUM!

just checking in....well, since i bought my car, i have put almost or exactly 1k miles on it!!! Im a week. I have found myself just driving this thing. MAN, the caddy does drive smooth!!!!!!!!!!!
I will have some pics up, here on this thread. I was reading and the carbon fiber kit i got with my V seem to be rare so i figured showing sme pics of it would be nice...
Anyways, besides the constant issue of the diff and clunky driveline, these cars ARE so SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!! Im sure there isnt one guy/gal here that doesnt regret purchasing one. I mean, this is a limited production vehicle.........people, its a caddy with titanium cohones!!!!!! (a little vulgar but appropriate i believe....)
Anyways, how everyone?
laterZ,
Angel
