Default Can you adjust fuel or timing per gear change?

My AFR is RICHER in lower gears, and leans out in the higher gears per RPM. This seems to be a natural occurrence of more fuel needed at that speed + the RPMs.

So, if anyone can tell me how I could increase fuel specifically for each gear, I'd appreciate it.

Also, come to think of it, is there a way to change timing depending on the gear? I can handle more timing in the lower gears than the upper gears.

Also, I'd like LESS timing in 1st gear for a given RPM (to gain more street traction), yet full timing in 2nd (best pull), and a bit less timing in 3rd (more susceptible to KR). Though, I think what I REALLY need in 3rd gear is more fuel.

Is any of this possible?

Thanks!

I dont think it is, but thats definately an interesting idea. I think the only thing you can adjust vs. gear would be rev limit. Id like to be told otherwise though...

alot of it is based on load.

less load in the lower gears. so your need for fuel is less and it can tolerate more spark, higher gears more load, more need for fuel and cant tolerate as much spark

map out where your seeing low load vs high load and tweak accordingly, with a little work I am sure you can find a nice balance.

You could hook up a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator to a pitot tube. j/k

My car used to lean out in the higher gears too. Adding more fuel pump and larger injectors cured it for me. Now my WOT A/F ratio is pretty consistent from 0-150mph.

It COULD be I just need more fuel all around, huh... persistent problem...
