Heads + CheaTR cam vs Heads+custom grind cam Some of you already know my intentions to make a nice stealth setup on my currently stock 01 Z06. I am buying PP Stage 2 LS6 heads and I want to get the best stealth cam that I can get to go with the heads.
The only other mod on the car will be a vararam CAI. The stock Z06 Ti Catback is pretty much equal in performance to aftermarket catbacks but it will be through stock manifolds (full stock exhaust).
Now many people say go with the CheaTR cam, but what do you guys think about instead getting a custom grind where I can tell someone the exact specs of the heads I am getting, exact specs of the car, and my intentions. Obviously I'd really like to maximize the power I can achieve while still being stealth and having driveability pretty much same as stock.
Would the difference in gains be worth it, or should I not bother and just grab an off-the-shelfer like the CheaTR cam??
