Default Studs - VS - Bolts

What seems to be the deciding factor with Head fasteners ?

Some use ARP Studs were others use their Bolts. Just curious.

Thanks Mac

I don't like the thought of stripping the threads out of the block. If you need to swap the heads, it's a little easier since you don't have to clean the block threads. That's why I went the stud route.

not sure why people go with the arp bolts over the studs. Studs, you clean the bolt holes once, screw the stud down and installing/ removing the head is a matter of taking off nuts. Arp bolts are just reusable, where as the stockers are TTY (torque to yeild)

If you ever plan on taking your heads off again get the studs. It takes a considerable amount of time off a head swap.

Basically the same strength for 60% of the cost of studs. That's why.

Bolts are ~$120 and studs are ~$230
