Default what stage ls6 heads for this cam. inside you guru's

this is for my ls1/t56 swap into my 79 Z28.
the cam will be custom comp cam 224/224 .581/.581 110lsa 106icl from ls1 speed. (actually chris from ls1speed.com said that the extra lift from .565 to the above will only give an extra 15lbs trq. and driveability will be worse) how much worse, I CANNOT have bad driveability.
I was looking into stage 1, but I have been told by a few people that I should go stage 2 on the heads. (which includes intake/exhaust port match, etc.)
my main goals are the following...

the same cam on bolt-on stock heads ls1's have made 400+rwhp/400+rwtq and 380rwtq and 360rwhp at 2800rpm. thats what I want. I WANT that low end trq. this is only going to be a street car.
also, it HAS to be VERY street friendly. the car will be on the power tours, and I want to drive it 1000+ mile trips with out worrying about anything.

When you mean LS6 heads, do you mean true LS6 castings or welded chambered 6.0L "ls6" heads?

If true castings, send them to TEA for their Stage 1.5 treatment and you'll be very satisfied.

Also, driveability and 110lsa don't go hand in hand, no matter what your lift numbers are. Go 113 or 114lsa.

i say get an MTI stealth cam, lingenfelter, or thunder racing cheatR cam. all have mild duration increases, slightlyl tighter lsa, and good lift. those make for great power throught the RPM range with GREAT torque everywhere.

MTI stealth - 220/220 115lsa .581 lift
MTI stealth2 - 224/220 116lsa .581 lift
lingenfelter - 207/220 118.5 lsa .571/.578 lift
cheatR - 218/230 117lsa around .600 lift.

my opinion should go with one of these. most likely the lingenfelter cam if you want the most torque and daily driveability. you probably wont even need a tune with this cam.

TR224 on a 114 will tighten the powerband down compared to the stealth cams, yet retain excellent tq and driveability.
