Default Will this setup work?

Ok guys, I'm pulling the heads off next week to figure out what is wrong with my car. Long story short: I bought this car 2 weeks ago got it home and 2 days later its shootin a little smoke/water/oil out the tail-pipes so I'm having to tear it down. I'm changing the heads and cam out for sure and I'm hoping and praying that the shortblock is ok. Basically, I just want to see what you guys think about this set-up before I buy it. The bottom end currently in the car is a 347 with 9:1 CR Weisco Pistons, polished crankshaft, ARP main studs, head studs, and rod bolts. It has new rings and misc bearings also.

I'm going to up the boost on the P1SC to around 10-11 lbs with the SD-concepts tensioner kit. Im also planning on buying the Patriot LQ9 Stage 2 2.02/1.57 72cc heads, along with the Futral F7 cam. Will there be any valve clearance issues or anything to watch out for? Would I be better off with a different cam? Any insight that you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help
chris

not too familiar with the f7 specs, but you should be good with mid 220 duration and probably 114 or higher lsa for your blower.

I hope you set aside enough money for injectors, fuel pump, and tuning! Good luck, that should be a beast!

It already has in-line and in-tank fuel pumps, 42 lbs. injectors and tuning my friend. I bought the car modded and it broke the 2nd day I had it. I'm just making it more of a blower set-up now. The specs on the F7 are 224/230 on a 114 I believe. I just want to get some low/midrange power back. Thanks for the help though.

haha, man, glad you could cash in on someone else's investment! That cam should be great though. Are you going to upgrade the springs too?

If need be then I am. Honestly I'm kind of new to the LS1 world as far as modding goes so thats why I'm trying to get advice on here. My other SS only has bolt-on's so this is a whole different world to me.

Another thing, any idea what my compression ration will be if I'm running Weisco 9:1 pistons and I throw the LQ9 Heads on? Will I need to change out my rockers/lifters or anything else for this cam? I've already got TR 7.400" pushrods. Someone enlighten me please b/c I'm planning on ordering monday morning...
