How big of a shot will a 4an main line feed?

How big of a shot will a 4an main line feed? Been trying to figure out why no matter what I make my pills I dont get anymore hp on the dyno and Im thinking my main feed line is too small. Its a 4an and Im trying to shoot a 225-250 shot and Im only getting about a 175-180 no matter what.

after the jets, the next restrictions are the 'noids.. you're probly maxing the noids out.

No Ive got a BIG solenoid on there, dont know how big but it should feed a atleast a 400 shot. I thought the 4an line wouldnt go much above 200 but maybe I was wrong.

you have to know EXACTLY what noids are on there and what the internal orifice size is. That will tell you how much you are going to be able to get there. You may have a cheater size noid...which is fairly large...but doesnt flow too much.
ANyways...a decent - 4 line should be able to flow 250 minimum ACTUAL rwhp. I got about 290 rwhp out of my -4 line that came with the NOS 5177 kit. But i was using alott of bottle pressure to help increase flow (1150). Not all -4 lines are created equally. Some have bigger ID that will flow more.
Id say you definately have a restriction somewhere. Either you -4 line is defective or melted somewhere...or there is another restriction you arent seeing so far.
