NICE! Are the Jesels longer than stock to allow for MONSTER cams like yours? i.e. smaller base circles

When is it going together? Wanna race? j/k

Not longer lifters, just longer pushrods. Hopefully by the end of december-end of jan. trying to make the decision on heads. Don't know if i want to try darts or just say **** it and go c5r's but then again for what the c5r's cost I could just about build 3-4 sets of darts

Okay, but 2500 bucks or so for a bad dude set of heads flowing 325 @ 500 and 350 @ 600 and even more into the .700 lift seems like a hell of a deal to me. Plus they are an 11 degree design vs the 15 degree of the darts.

A couple of questions tho jason, what bore/stroke combo are you going with and where are you looking to shift (8000?). I know you're running a glide...dont know how big a verter or gear/tire combo.

They are alot more than 2500 for the bad *** heads. The plan has turned a little. it is going to be a 402 ls2 motor, so 4.0 X4.0 nice and square makes for a hard running motor. converter, tire, gear choice will be made after the motor is built and dynoed, and once the car is done so I can get a total weight, going to be matched right to the car.

Alright, another 4x4 truck motor 402! No, wait, you said LS2. My bad, MINE is the truck motor. But I have a lot less than $2500 in my 6L heads, even if you include the rocker arms. The advantage of running a power adder....

Yep alluminum After thinking for a while about the subject of blocks
I decided to go for the ls2 and i am not going to have to worry about conversion electronics b/c I am going to a carb setup. PLus it will save some weight

But thats the price of making the same numbers N/A and then throwing a power adder on top of that

I wonder If they would consider a fastest "carbed" 4 gen record?

So does the LS2 motor have better bearing journals or something? I keep hearing it has a better oiling system, but never any details.

You're right they are more than 2500.

How much work are you going to do to the dart's then? I wonder if the 6.2 liter heads would be an option when they come out this winter?

So who's your builder? And what's he charging for the 402. I'm thinking of doing the same, but having MTI do it. If it's feesible and dependable I may just get it done here.
