Stereo & Electronics - Auto dimmer rearview mirror?

Anyone know how to disable it? This is on my 04" 1500 truck. with the windows all tinted it thinks it is night time so it goes dark and i can't see out the back at all. And the mirror doesn't have OnStar so there is no button to disable it.

I have an aftermarket Autodimming/Compass/Temp mirror in my T/A - if the stockers are anything like this one there should be an electrical connection with a connector somewhere either right into the back of the mirror, or further up the harness up under the headliner - just disconnect it and mirror should stay clear...

Better yet! I'll ship you my stocker (has map lights on the bottom) and you ship me your autodim :)

There is a wire that goes to the backup lights that disables it. It was probably not connected when it was installed.

Were did you find that mirror, and dose it had the two map lights on the bottom of it?
