Default Qtp Hv Oil Pump

I just fired up and broke in the new engine. The engine now has 165 miles on it.Oil pressure is 55 PSI @ idle and 75 PSI @ W.O.T. This is the first pump that accually works better than stock. I have used other so called ported pumps in the past only to be dissapointed with the results. Hope this helps other engine biulders out there.

QTP was at Corvettes at Carlise in August. I looked this pump over as well as their 2 piece timing cover. Both appear to be very high quality items, especially the 2 piece cover.

Which spring did you use on the bypass?

The pump comes with a high pressure spring already installed and a standard spring in the box. I used the high pressure spring in the 402 I posted the figures on. I previously tried this pump in a stock bottom end with the high pressure spring. 60 PSI @ idle and 80 plus @ W.O.T. I recommend the standard spring in this application. Price for the pump was $175.00 & $425.00 for the two piece timing cover. The cover comes in quite handy when changing cams as often as I do.

Is this oil pump compatible with the stock timing cover, or do you have to also lay down the dough for their 2-piece cover?

I can't say for sure. I bought both the cover and the pump together.
