Default Does anyone use their t-top sunshades?

I was just wondering. I still have mine in the OEM packing. I've thought about putting them in, but never do. Any personal pros or cons about putting them in? Right now it's my daily driver. Should I put them in for the winter since my t-tops are done for the season? Would it do anything for the interior temp?

It will do a little for the interior temp. They help with blocking the sun out more than what the tint will do, thats the only reason I use them sometimes.

I've never had my sun shades out. I would imagine it would insulate the t-tops a little bit conserving some heat in the winter time. I just like my car dark on the inside. I didn't get the 5% tint for nothing.

When i bought my 01 Z they had never been installed, I put them in right after i got the keys. It helps the temp out a lot. I need to get some for my trans am, I dont like the sun coming right in on the leather. I also planning on getting mirror tint or less than 5% on the outside of the t-tops when i get my windows done

I only use them when it is very suny outside and/or I am going on a road trip. When I first bought my car and drove it home, I got sun burnt on my neck from the sun coming through the t tops. As soon as I got home, I unwrapped the sun shades and installed them.

yeah, i use mine. and they do make a difference in the summer, at least, temp wise. plus you don't have the sun beating on you if you choose to run the a/c.

off 99% of the time. thy're just a pain to put in/out when you want the T tops on and off although they do cut heat in the summer.

Tried it both ways for a bit, but have stuck with leaving them in. Makes me feel more enclosed. When I want to feel open, I just take the T-tops off completely.

Before i got my TA, I test drove a V6 at a local dealer and the sun shone right in my eyes. It got really annoying, really quick. Later, a friend and fellow TA owner told me they are supposed to come with T-Top shades. Thankfully, the car I ended up buying came with them. Like Onyx said, they only come off with the roof. Even in my cars with sunroofs, I rarely opened the shades while the roof was closed.

Mine stay in all the time, those and the windshield sun blocker helps keep the interior temp a little cooler during those 100* days

i keep mine in for the summer cause of the heat, except for long drives where i take them out. but keep them out the rest of the year. the car feels different with them out, and i like it.
