Default rattling sound?

i have a 98z with 55k miles on it and i was hoping you guys could help me out with a crazy sound that its making actually its always made. if i punch the throttle it sounds like a diesel truck ive only heard it do it after the car is warm never when it was cool. im running mobil5w30 in it now but when i had castrol 5w50 i didnt hear it as often or bad. i know i need to change the plugs and now im not exactly running the best gas but even with 93 in it it still makes the noise. car is still stock no low temp thermo or anything am i lookin at detonation from the engine gettin pretty warm plus my crappy plugs which i need to change or could somethin be loose. thanks

Sounds like a simular problem as in this thread:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/319226-strange-metallic-sound.html

I have not looked into the tensioner pulley yet, maybe thats the culprit.

---------
update: i just ordered the adj tensioner pulley from TR.
I should have it by the end of the week, and i'll get it on the car AS/AP (Sat), and can let you know if it helped or not then!
