Default Quest to over 460 rwhp, Pretty close, what else?

Im heads/cam and all the boltons right now. My current power is 423/398. My goal is to be over 460 rwhp. What would be the easiest way there? I have most of a nitrous system at my house, should I just spray a 50 shot and shut up or should I get a bigger cam? My current cam is 224/228 .566/.566 112 lsa. I'm on the ls6 intake and granatelli maf as well. Any input would be great. If I do spray the 50 shot, do you think a whole new tune would be necessary? Thank you!

if you went with the juice it would only be there when you needed it , makin life easier on the motor...or you can get a bigger cam and have it all the time, but then you need a retune, dyno time and more than likely life will be a little harder on the motor, but the power will be there all the time without having to worry about how much is left in the bottle...i guess it's gonna come down to your personal preference......good luck

get the juice....while its open to dicussion, that big of a cam is undriveable for everyday driving...or even city driving IMO....but, again, thats up for debate. I would spend the 300 bucks and put together a nice custom kit on the cheap.

A ported FAST 90mm intake and 90mm TB will gain you at least 20...possibly up to 30. Speed density tuning and no MAF would gain you another 5-10. Expensive, but there are no driveability downsides. In fact, with SD tuning, your driving pleasure will increase.

Really. Can you briefly explain the theory on the 5-10hp gain using SD alone? I don't understand where this gains power.

Thanks,

In my case, the 85mm MAF was the biggest restriction in the entire intake tract. Even with the FAST 90 and 90mm TB, my MAP sensor would still show some vacuum readings at WOT. By removing the MAF and replacing it with a 4" pipe, my vacuum readings at WOT decreased and power increased. Restriction eliminated!

SD tuning also gives me a much smoother idle and low speed driveability with my current cam. Cams with lots of overlap make lots of intake reversion. This freaks out the MAF at low rpm. No such problems in speed density.
