Unhappy I think I broke something

My bulbs on my stereo stearing wheel controls burnt out and needed to be changed. So I figured I'd do a search on here on how to change them and went one step better. Found a write up on how to change them to blue LED( http://www.evlls1.com/interiorlighting.html ). Soooo I did just that. The right side lights up blue and works just fine, but now the left side has power but doesnt work at all, no lights and no functionality Quadruple checked the plug wire and it was plugged in. Is there anyway to test these things with a multimeter to see if they are still good or am I out of luck and have to buy another one?
