Default engine bay dress up

i just got started on my engine bay clean/dress up. here are some pics. Im going with a black and orange scheme and silver/chrome being my accent color. havnt seen very many cars with this color scheme-reason being im doing it. any not so expensive tips on some stuff i can do? i was thinking orange fuelrail covers in the future.

Check out my buddies car. He bought paint that exactly matched the car. Looks pretty good IMO.

Sand the back of your headlight housings and paint them silver. Also paint the bumper support black.

A dremel, some polishing compound. Polish the A/C can and the brake lines going to the master cylinder/ABS module. Paint the valve covers, MAF, and TB with some Krylon, blue painter's tape and then clear it with some more Krylon. Do the wire mod on the Left side wiring.

what brand of air filter is that? i've never seen a K&N look so red....... or is it?

do the !wire mod, reloom wiring, paint the intake, polish anything aluminum.

any autoparts store carries wire loom
autozone carries a variety of colors.
but IMO, black is the only color that should be used.
Attract attention to the engine, rather than the looms of wiring throughout the car...

I think body colour is the way to go. I tried the blue wire loom thing. Gets old fast. I ripped it out and went back to black.

its a FRAM filter and is just about chevy hugger orange. thats why i went with the orange secondary color scheme. i also have handpainted stripes on each side of my car(kinda hard to see) here are some better pics of the air filter and stripes and $6 smooth bellow.

This is the cheapest place I've found for alot of colored wire loom, I plan on doing red in mine this winter.

You can also get black from Harbor Freight. I bought a few bags along with other junk. Not bad.
