Default Camaros with true duals

I would like to see what the camaros look like from the rear that have true duals dumped at the axle. Ive never really paid attention to what they look like with no pipes back there.

looks better to see turndowns under car or exit at the muffler like the mufflex, I'm not a fan of tips sticking out.

go to www.LS1sounds.com and click on pics then scroll to where it says true duals. It also shows pics of cutouts. Very good pics over there.

I'll see if I can get some pics of mine. I think it looks 1000X better w/out tips. I dunno, just kinda gives it a sportier look to me.

I think no tips looks alot better too. I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular cat back.

If only we could get side exits coming through the fender. probably more like through the door cause that can't happen.

True Duals would be nice but I hate not being able to see tips. Can you tip them?

You can run true duals over the axle.

You can run true duals over or under the axle. Over is better as far as filament.
I personally like the looks and sound of the turn downs with no tips

There was someone a few months back who made a custom true dual setup. Went from LT's through an X pipe, then over the axle, then into two magnaflow bullets, then lastly to a CME. Was the absolute cleanest thing i've ever seen.

ive heard that only a 2.5'' true dual will fit over axel. and a 3'' dual wont. but i dont get this because most regular single crossflow catback setups are 3'' and fit over the axel on the right side so why not the left too?

Well, I had never ever scraped it on the street. However, it drags on decel at the track even with it modified and cut back acouple of inches. It took a hell of a hit last month and rolled the nose under the car, destroyed the GFX, nose supports, trans cooler, and so on.

i just think they need something behind the axle if they dont have any ground effects. like Gm Muscle's looks really good but the Silver SS needs something, whether its ground effects or exhaust, it needs one of the two IMO. but hey, what do i know?

There is only one place where an exhaust pipe can go over the axle for some reason. I've been under there and there is a lot of crap right where the other axle would go over.

2.5" is just fine tho for a true dual over axle. It's not like you'll have a problem with velocity anyway.
