You got to tell us all the things it can do............enquiring minds want to know. How much does it cost? Or where can we go to learn about it?

IT looks like it has some nice features.... but, overall, I'm disappointed with the fact that Tuner Cat still has some tables not identified in the HPTuner software. I really expected a lot more tables to be cracked, not just a major overhaul of how it looks and how it functions.

If you have specific tables you'd like cracked please feel free to post up in the feature request section...user feedback is what they rely on to put the product together.

So your concensus is that the upgrade isn't worth it? I use both as well, but the biggest advantage for using TC is that if I have a PCM definition for model year 2004, it covers every model car and truck for 2004! Ya TC doesn't have a scanner built it but its forth coming, and its still a bargain as well. Not to mention that realtime live LSx emulation is coming soon as well. Imagine tuning your favorite LSx engine live like we can do with any chip car now.

I'm not saying it isn't worth it. I still really like the scanning tool and functions on the older version... it looks like there are some nice new functions as well. Also, it seems you can change the parameters you are monitoring (scanning software... not editing the program) on the fly instead of having to stop the logging and then change. I hope to look at some this weekend when I have more time.

I still very much like the program I just wish they would get copies of LS1 edit and TunerCat and work some of those other identified parameters into the HPTuner version. If the other companies have found the tables there is no reason HPTuner can't access them too. After all, the table is resident in the source program in the vehicle... not added by Tunercat or LS1 edit. They should all be able to tune all the same parameters. That's the root of my complaint.

As I recall if your upgrade peroid expired after March 31st of 05 the upgrade to 2.0 was free because of how long it took for them to release, or something like that.

Yep, I got 2.0 for free cause my upgrade period expired after March 05, and I'm damned glad too!

My favorite new feature is the user configurable histograms. You can now plot pretty much any sensor or PID out along pretty much any x/y axis in the scanner. OMFG I'm having so much fun...
