Default 99 SS or 98 WS6??

I currently own a 99 SS A4, 80k miles (excl cond) but want a m6 bad hehe.... im also interested in leather too. Well I found a 102k mile 98 WS6 m6 for sale guy is askin 12.5k for it (car's not in excl cond, but is good-ish, headlight motor on one side is gone, tires are wasted, mine are new). Question now is, should I keep the 99 SS or go for the 98 WS6, which one will hold its' value in the long run better?

Also, what are the intrinsic values of both cars, I know the KBB prices, but LS1s are pretty damn rare in the Islands. I also can count the number of WS6s i've ever seen down here with both my hands.

I prefer the M6 and the WS6 myself, but in this case I would hold on to your car. You know your car and have no idea what problems the WS6 may have. But headlight motor, tires, etc don't give a great impression, if it's got obvious problems, who knows what kind of gremlins could be hiding under the hood...

that price is VERY high for a 98 ws6 with that many miles (i bet the book price is less). For that price, a 98 WS6 with 40,000 miles in awesome condition should be around that price. Keep your car.

None of the above. I would keep shopping for a M6. You all ready have a nice F-body to drive so that's a plus. But you really want a M6 which I can't say I blame you. I also want a M6 and the only reason I don't get one is that I am now addicted to 1/4 mile drag racing at the track. No way I will go to a M6 when stalled autos rule that domain.

But if you keep shopping, I bet you find a nice 98-00 M6 for less then 15K with half the miles the one you have now. I'm not sure how you feel about looks but me personally, I love the Formula/TA/WS6 looks better. Plus the red dash lights looks bad a$$ while driving at night

Enjoy what you have but don't stop looking for an affordable upgrade either. Good luck bro.

Thanks for the input guys, im still thinkin that i'll keep the SS, so long as the Ws6 guy doesn't want to go down in price..way down hehehe...

I'll probably keep on shoppin for a nice m6, but those rarely go on sale in Hawaii, and the ones that do are all the low mileage 01-02's and they're all black. I was talkin to a cop the other day n he said he sold his old SS patrol car for 8.5k with 72k miles on it.

I got the SS for 9.5k, so that was a steal, and I know of a few guys who'd buy it outright for like 13.5k. Prices in Hawaii are so inflated due to the lack of supply and the current increase in demand. LS1s go like hotcakes down here, though I must say that the WS6 has been on sale for over a month... maybe a good reason to stay away.

Keep your SS.... There is no way I would pay a dime over 9.5K for a car with over 100K miles with riped tires and stuff

Yeah I'd keep the SS and continue shopping for an M6. I first had a 2000 mustang GT that was tricked out, but it was the automatic, and I am so glad I bought the M6 SS, more fun to drive and a hell of a lot more power.

Like everyone has said, keep the SS. If worse comes to worse and you cant find an m6 in your price range or in good condition, swap the a4 to an m6.

Theres a late model firebird/transam? for sale at M.A.S.H here in Wahiawa. I know nothing about the car except that it is red. Just thought I would give you the heads up.

Keep your SS....I think you just want something new....when you have the WS6 for a while, you'll probably be like, why did I switch, I liked the SS just as good. They are equally bad *** cars.
