who u think would win a 1/8 mile street race out of a bolt-on cobra with a small pulley and a 1999 firebird formula with all bolt-ons, 3.73 and 100 shot?

Assuming you can hook up, you have a shot.
Winner will be the one who has traction.

Pullied/bolt-on Cobra is about 425 rwhp. You with 100shot are about the same, maybe a tad more, whoever gets traction out of the hole will win this one. Depends on his control arms whether he hops or not. I would say the one who hooks definitely has it.

You should take him on ET streets unless he has the same DR. ET's hook well, this is about hooking really.

Again, traction limited. Are you spraying outta the hole?

THe hp level at this point is mute as long as you are close. You want to out-hook him, less power might even be better for what you are trying to do, in 1/4 i would be more inclined to go the other way with that, but in this, just hook and you got it.

If you lose, no shame in that, but if he has stock suspension, you should take him, btw, i see you have a stock rear end...it called me and said if you spray out of the hole on slicks its divorcing your car.

lol, 425??

FWIW, with JUST a 2.76 pulley and a canned tune (stock intake and stock exhaust) I ran an 11.8@119 on Eagle F1's (the stock rubber) and the car hooked just as good on the street.

Anyway, it will be a REAL close race.

I figured I'd let that ride, but since you brought it up...

With bolt ons and a pulley, one should expect at least 460rwhp.
A ported blower added to the mix = 500rwhp and mid to low
11's on a tire with a decent driver.

Hrm...so it is, i stand corrected...Yeah, it will be a VERY tough run for the LS1 and if you DO hook enough to win i fear for the 7-5/8" rear end in that thing.

I STRONGLY disagree. We put VHT down on our streets and it still doesn't hook anywhere near as good as the track. I think your rear will be PERFECTLY fine.

I have heard of bone stock LS1's 6M popping the rear, and I have heard of them not popping with 500rwhp...I say its a crap shoot.
