Default New A4 shift **** pics...need opinions

Couldnt stand the stock t-handle shift **** anymore. It was to bulky and tall. So i took the shifter **** i had from when my 94 z was wrecked removed the black leather sanded it and painted it to match the interior. I also cut the shifter shaft about an inch to get it to sit nice and low. I wanted a stock kind of look and i thought it came out great but would love some feedback...good or bad. Should i do the ebrake to match perfect?

I don't like the hight either. How did you manage to cut the shifter? I added a shifter boot to hide the towering shifter.

i simply cut the metal shaft down about an inch with a dremel and cutting wheel. I did the same thing with the white push rod in the center...still making sure the white rod part is taller then metal shaft so it can shift properly. I had to modify the shift **** itself to sit lower. The **** had two slots in it which help hold it so it doesnt spin once its on and also to act as a stop. I drilled out the slots an inch or so and it just went on like stock. I can do a better write up if your interested with some pics...its accually pretty simple once you know what your doing.

Looks good man, I've been debating cutting down my shifter too since it sits so high.

There are a bunch of things out of the Camaros that I plan on putting in my TA lol. I already have the Camaros HVAC in my TA because the ***** match my black interior so much better than the grey ones we have stock. Gotta get that little Cubby hole you Camaro owners have to replace my TCS Plaque. Plus the headlight switch and steering wheel control buttons to match my interior better lol. Not sure if I like the shifter better than the Firebird ones tho.....
