Go to the dynamometer section of this page and search for some dyno graphs so you know what one looks like.
Hope that helped.

I'll second WAHUSKER's recommendation. They apparently go by Marysville Speed 'n Custom now, but Mike is still the guy to talk to. Last time I was there they were able to get me in the following afternoon for a few pulls. I'll be back there probably late next week myself.

Really? I was planning to go next week also to get some post-stall converter, pre-stroker/blower numbers. Maybe I'll see you there....
PS excellent explanation Jon! One more detail, they 'drive' your car on the dyno, for insurance reasons & so you don't break their dyno. That usually suprises most people....

Ellis- I'd love to have you tune my car, but I would like to know what kind of power its making as well. Maybe when we come to that bridge we can come up with something.

I was thinking the other day after I met you at dyno day. Didn't you used to have a GTO? or am I thinking of someone else?

it's running good and I am way more confortable giving it some go nowdays. Ellis leaned it out a little in open loop, this got rid of my morning backfires and I am getting slightly better MPG (since my commute is mostly cold engine, like 5-10 minutes each way, I really should be walking to work ).
You're thinking someone else though, I used to have a Z28
What did you guys find in your transmission?

So with the car tuned a bit, it should have quite a bit more power from last time huh? And can you feel more HP now?
What are your list of mods? Or are you going to keep it stock.

It's staying stock for now... I'll do zip tie mod just before a dyno tune but that's it. The real mod in the works is some performance driving classes on the track, I am trying to find something in the area right now.
Not sure if it picked up any power after the last adjustment, I started chirping tires here and there, but I think it's because I actually feel safer now finding the right gear and pushing the pedal all the way down
I'm glad you decided to have Ellis go through your problems, I'm sure you'll be running like new in no time

What is the zip tie mod? Is it worth doing? I have heard of it but don't know what it is.
