Thanks. Its a Protorque converter. Not sure what the actuall stall speed is as my tach is off. Not sure by how much, but its off. Plus, when I'm at the track, I don't have time to look at the tach to see where it floats at.

He has an 8" converter that will stall somewhere around 5500.

LOL, he's taken EVERYTHING out. It's the nicest looking gutted-car I've ever seen.

I'm thinking we upgrade to 1 7/8th headers and change up the cam a bit.

All of the sound-deadening material is gone. We could do the lightweight carpet. Lexan is a bit much IMHO. He also is yet to add the Strange Race Brakes in the front.

do you have trouble hooking..that is a monster tire you got there...i would go to a smaller tire unless you cant make it down the 1/4 mile..and to me your 60 does not look that strong for a 2900 pound race weight...after the tires i would start with the verter and get that thing to 60..ive tried alot of name brand converters and there are differences in them...how much power does the car make...i think with a better verter and smaller tires it will pick up et and 60

new cam. maybe you can work a deal with thunder to try the new T-Rex with LSK lobes since you have taken the original pretty far. Or just get a new custom grind.

personnally, if you can scrounge the cash...just get some heads. Dart heads are cheap and flow well, and AFR 205's are dominating.

On the 10.54 pass he only went a 1.47 60' because the track-prep had gone away. The person just in front of us had wrecked and the track sat for about 45 minutes. He has been a 1.41 60' with only one suspension change, but I'm hoping I can get him to 1.37 60' with the same amount of power he's got now. We just need to go do more testing.

What was changed in the suspension to get the 60's down to 1.41's?

Wheres the electric water pump....DO the race version adn use BMRs alt bracket kit to use the shortest belt possible. That will free up some ET and power for ssure. Even pick up in the 60

01Z and Magnus went 10.29@128mph cam only so, I would maybe do the water pump, but I'd look for that 1.35 that that car should be able to cut as long as it has enough converter. Is it a 8" or 9" converter? I'd run an 8" converter for a setup like that, Magnus really showed that the 8" works great. 01Z switched from a 9" to 8" and picked up bigtime.

Sorry guys for the delay response. Ben has it right, but I'll cover it again.

Protorque converter, 8", stall speed around 5500.
VFN Sunoco style hood, no lexan glass
Airbags are out

I wouldn't say that everything is out as I still have the stock carpet, door panels, power locks, power windows, power mirros, t-tops, dash, and headliner.

The car only makes 400+ rwhp. I haven't had it on the dyno lately, but with the old setup, it was around 410 rwhp. I don't have trouble hooking, its just the track I race at doesn't prep that well for test n tune. I average mid 1.4s with the new setup, but when I pulled the 1.41, they had just laid down some rubber, VHT, and about 5 cars in front of me got the track a little warm. I think with better track prep, I could see consistent low 1.4s and when winter comes, 1.3s for sure.

I edited the list as I forgot to add Mezeire race electric water pump and Wolfe anti-roll bar.
