Default Oil dripping from head bolts????

The car has been going through about 1 quart of oil for every 200 to 300 miles. When we removed the passenger side head, none of the bolts seemed to be torqued down, they came loose way too easy. And several of the bolts were dripping in oil!

Also looking at the bolts, they don't seem to be stretched.

Take a look at the passenger side head, you can see the oil and what looks like metal in it.

The Driver's side heads and bolts all were fine.

How did oil get on the head bolts like that? No coolant, just oil.

My ARE motor(heads) did the same thing. They were not torqued correctly. Identical problem and symptoms you have. I am luckly to be alive and still have a undamaged car after the heads lifted in the 1/4.

I believe the shop that installed these head for him did a poor job! Several other things were not right as well. We will be install a TSP 408 for him in the next few weeks or so and TEA is reworking the heads.

You previously had problems with ARP bolts, is this the same motor and bolts?

No, this is on a customer's car. Another shop had installed TEA heads using stock GM bolts.
