rebuild price?

Default rebuild price?

How much should a trans shop charge to take out, rebuild and reinstall a t56?? basic rebuild.

I would guess about 500 in labor. Why do a basic rebuild. Order good parts from D&D if you are going through the trouble.

What if he isn't secure with doing the work himself? I can do alot of things on my car, but tranny work isn't one of them. I don't know the slightest about the workings or anything about them.

Get good parts and pay for labor. The point is, why use stock crap if you are doing a rebuild.

Got ya.............good point! Beware of who you have do the work. I have my car at a shop getting things fixed from another shop that didn't know what they were doing. that's and expensive lesson learned.

A good rebuild with upgraded synchros, billet keys, steel shift fork, sliders and labor for rebuilding only runs $850. I would guess labor for pulling and putting it back would be around $300-$400 depending on where you went. Do not do a stock rebuild as this will cost the same as an upgraded one.
