Default what to use for a hood?

i was wondering what most people use that have hoods with no struts and hood latches. i talked to VFN and they said use thezues or what ever there called to hold them down. there is 10 of them that are supposed to go around the periemter of the hood but look at the fenders and all it doesnt look like they would hold very well. if any one could give me some insite that would be great.

FYI They're dzus fasteners (pronounced zeus)
Anyway, unless it's a race car I wouldn't use them to hold my hood on, talk about a PITA to take the hood off, you can use the stock latches and struts, but with a lighter hood the struts will pop the hood open really quickly, once the latch is released (kind of like the back hatch if you take the spoiler off)

Fasteners poped

The side ones are attached as so, through the fender and screwed into the metal...

General location shot, the front ones are attached to the inner part of the nose.

Engine has not been detailed since May...a little dirty.
