Default Who here can hook up their M6 car on the street?

Anyone build their car around street-racing (which is only done in the movies ) and still using an M6? What kinda tire? suspension? power?

I'm just looking for some motivation to get another 6 spd car and get some power out of it (previous cars were stock/near stock). Considering an A4 for ease of launch/consistent E.Ts.......Someone hold me back!

I think i launch pretty good on regular z-rated street tires (275's) . Of course thats not leaving TOO hard but it still throws me back. Once you really know your car/clutch, you can launch suprisingly hard on the street. Dont get yourself in trouble.

RANSOM-you hook at a 5,000rpm dump on the street? i got to call i cut 1.4 60's at the track(1.3's nos) and even with VHT on the street i can't do anything over 4,000 dump and that even has some slight spin on the street. at the track i can dead hook on a 6,500rpm dump.

Mine hooks very well on the street. It has all the suspension upgrades as well as subframes, Hals QA1 shocks in the front and Nitto 315 drag radials.

Agree with this gentleman, the street hooks better than the track at Firebird on a Friday night.
