Hello,

I was wondering if GM currently makes big blocks with the same type of technology as LS1 (SMPFI, I think). I know they don't put them in big passenger cars anymore. What about trucks? I know they make the 427 LS7, but that's a small block, I think. What is this 8.1L engine?

yes the 8.1 have the same technology as the LS1. from what I have seen the preformance parts are pretty expensive. Check out Tbyrne's website.
