What the heck is garage mode?

What the heck is garage mode? I was playing around in the bin and, well at 00019562 in hex and several other hex tables it references a Garage mode? It looks to be a transmission modifier, and there are about 60 tables or perameters all related to it... Has anyone ever figured out what the garage mode is?

Ive heard reference to a "valet mode", which may be synonymous with "garage mode". IIRC it was described as changing the engine and transmissions params to very limited range to keep people from beating and joyriding in the car like the "professional" did to the ferarri in ferris buller.

EFILIve's custom operating systems enable valet mode via a spare pin on the PCM to activate and deactivate it.
