First TIme to the Track??????????????
First Trip to Dragstrip??????????????
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I went to the strip with zero experience, first time ever. I started out with fear and anxiety and ended up merely incompetent. Check my sig for my mods. It's really just a bolt on car. I ran on fully inflated street tires, BFG KDW.
I can't even remember the first run as it was over before it began. I ran 14.6 at 100 mhp. A few runs latter I was able to settle down and ran a best of 13.4 at 107 mph.
I missed gears, hit the rev limiter a few times and spun a bunch. Best 60 was 2.17. I lost traction between 1-2 and 2-3. Not a very good feeling.
Before the next trip to the track in the spring I plan on installing a line lock, some Nitto DRs and a shift light. Hopefully, the stock clutch will hold for a little while.
So, how bad is this for a newbie. I know the ET's aren't great, how is the mph. Thanks.

I think for an M6 car with 4:11's and stock tires the 13.4 is a pretty good time. Hell, it was your first time at the track and you knocked over a second off of your first run. If you can get that 60' down in the mid 1.7-1.8 range you'll be knocking on the door of a 12 second run.
Nice job!
