Default Any way to trick the PCM into thinking it's in drive?

I've been helping a friend tune his car which has a 98 PCM. It's flashed for a 4L60E. However, he has a TH350. I changed his in drive rev limiters, but he called me the other day saying it was still hitting the stock rev limiter. It dawned on me that the computer thinks the car is in park at all times. THat's no big deal, but the P/N rev limiter is not available for 98 PCM's in EFILive. Is there any way to trick the computer into thinking it's in drive? I am guess there is just a ground wire, but I have never dealt with a 4L60E physically, so I'm not sure. Any ideas short of flashing it to an M6 file? I don't have the Pro version of tuning license, and I highly doubt a dealership would do it for free.

I love my EFILive and don't plan on switching as I have an '02. This is just to get a buddy rolling. They just released '98 support a couple weeks ago, so I'm sure it will be added at some point in the future. He just needs to get it ready soon.

I just looked at your signature. Can you open EFILive tune files with HP Tuners? I doubt they are cross-compatible, but it's worth asking.

Also, you can reflash it as a manual and change the VIN to his ... SIMPLE! No more worries about Park/Neutral nor Drive limiters.

If you can find anybody local with that year/model version of HP Tuners they could do it for you.

It can be done in EFILive. Check the attached Pic. No need to switch to HPT.

IT is in the efilive software for 98s go to engine calibration, rev limiter, then to parameters, it is right there, and alot more tables than in the other software...
the table is b3330 If you just want to type it in the search then it will pop it right up.

Also, another note, as long as the segment ids match, for the engine cal, then you dont need to do a full reflash of the calibration, if you have an m6 program that matches then you can flash it in..

Why does it not show up in my software? Can someone send me an M6 98 stock tune?

Good idea to update every few weeks , the EFILIVE guys just keep making the software better and better , nearly eveyweek there is a new update out with more features , I think my last HPT update before 2.0 was 8 months ago
