Default Ricky: NX timing controller/retard???

apparently the only company that made LS1 timing control..Ramchargers...has unfortunately gone under. SO that leaves the Timing Tuners that are already floating around out there as the only means of externally retarding timing.

So if NX does come out with something....your it as of right now as far as i know.

I thought I heard you guys say your were hot and heavey after this project? Any updates.

Also...and update for the Max II. Make the TPS ramp % adjustable

Ramchargers was not the manufacture of the LS1 Timing Tuner. The manufacture is still in business and there is no shortage of LS1 Timing Tuners.

The original version might have, I can't remember. I believe it was originally marketed through Ramchargers.

Yeah...I think your right. Mine originally said Ramchargers TT.

anyways...Ricky...any updates on the timing stuff to be integrated into the MAXII. Id rather have something plug and play with the nitrous controller.

Ok we are thrashing on many many new products, some you have seen some you haven't. The timing tuner is on the board for the looksey, not sure if we can install into the maximizer 2 but we might be able to do a box that jsut plugs in.
Sorry for the delay on this one, the 341B took the head of the class and its almost done, and once that happens the timing adjustment is setting and waiting.
Thanks to MR. Dave, I stole one of his boxes....

Any chance it would be compatible with the previous PDA maximizer.

Then you are down on timing all the time. With a timing retard, you can have an optimal setting on and off the juice.

True, if you are flashing it. You could do a "real-time" adjustment with HP Tuners or EFI Live. The downsides to that are one you need the laptop on and in the car (god forbid you are spraying it and windows craps out or your battery dies or something) and two it's controlling the PCM over the OBD 2 port, not the fastest connection in the world. Its fine for scanning/programming/low frame data logging, but to control your PCM? I would rather just flash the PCM between runs.

Just wire a relay and resistor to your IAT, have the relay activate when you ARM your system, and set how much timing you want to pull out via tuning software. It's not difficult.

You could wire it so that it turns the relay on when the solenoids fire, but I'm not sure how fast the stock pcm will react to the IAT temp change, so to play it safe just have the IAT relay turn on when you flip the switch to arm the n20.
