WOOT!! New Package Today... Futral 370
Well I am a happy camper! I got the 370" short block I ordered a while back. I had Futral Pick out the parts based on my plans, Allan says the block'll handle 800 to the wheels.
FMS 6.0L Shortblock
Diamond Pistons -15cc 8.85cr w/72cc heads
Mahle Rings
Manley Sportsman 6.125" Rods
ARP Main Studs
Federal Mogul Main Bearings
King Rod Bearings
Dura Bond Cam Bearings
Bore/hone w stress plates, debur
Balance/Blueprinted/assembled
Now I just get to play the waiting game for the heads to get here...

Sweet Ryan! I can't wait to see what that monster runs. I love the shape of those pistons. Looks tight too (cyls & rod caps). Certainly are some nice motors up here all the sudden. You'd think we moved to Texas....

That's my long term goal!! Maybe I will be able to afford it in a couple of years, and by then it'll be obsolete.

That sucks! On the bright side, I was just reading an article about a guy that built a stroker with AFR 225s & twin 60s (which should just about be = to your BIG-*** hair dryer). He hit 700+ rwhp, so it looks like your goal is within reach. I'm almost as anxious to see your reuslts as I am mine. That thing is going to be NASTY!!!

If you want to get something up and running, I have a set of MTI stage 3 LS6 heads that I need to sell for peanuts. Not AFRs, but a good way to get moving. I'd send them for $1400 bucks.
Every time Im told a certain time frame for heads, it ends up being more than twice that estimate. That worked with ARE, MTI, AFR, and TEA.

Nothing is wrong with the old heads, they just aren't AFR 225s. And of course they already have my $$$. Tony Mamo is a great guy to deal with, I don't know if I can handle the wait...
