Default replacing rods bolt and main bolts

OK guys I need some help, I am wanting to change my main Bolts (studs) and my rod bolts. I read in a forum some place that the rod bolts can be changed while engine is still in the truck. Just pull the oil pan and take out one bolt at a time and replace. is this correct?
Also I thought the mains had bolts but when I called Summit racing they said that they only have studs. I called ARP and he didn't know a hole lot but said that he thinks you can use either bolts or studs but they only make studs. So my question is has anybody ever changed their rod bolts or main studs/bolts with just droping the oil pan? can this be done?
I am also putting 1.85 rockers and springs in so I can raise my rev limiter up to around 6000 rpm.
Thanks for any input
Mark
