Eh, not really worth it. Some people use the stage 2+ LS6 heads on the 40x's, but I personally think the best start you can get is with the LQ9 (317) heads. They are a great starting point for porting. It's all a matter of preference and what static CR you want to run.
As for the cam, I'm gonna say the "typical" cam is in the mid 240's duration on 402/408's. However, that also depends on the person's static CR and what dynamic CR they want to run (aka how much they want to bleed off, having to do with LSA, overlap, etc... way too much to get into).

I'm running a $1500 dollar set of 5.7L stock heads and making 550rwhp on my 408. they are maxed out, but thats still pretty damn good power, IMO. PM me if you want to know the company, they are a non sponsor.
also, DON'T look at high lift numbers. mine 'only' flow 293 @ .600 lift
