Ya u can easily tell when it does this. It usually does it above 5k rpm's and it feels liek its makin 50 hp. it donesnt sound liek its breaking or anythign liek that it jsut sounds like its struggling to do somethign that should be cake for it. GL man

The motor had a very light misfire around 5k, then never did it again. 2 days later had a bigger misfire around same rpm, except this time it is like a rev limiter cut. Friend was in the car and he said it sounded just like his motor when he floated the valves. It only did it 2 times and I have taken it over 6k. no problems rest of the time..... before I got the mail tune it never had this at all and it started the day I put the tuned PCM in. It only does it when the engine is warmed but shut off for over 30 minutes and get back into it. It definitely does not do it every time.

have you ever dynoed the car? If you have look at the dyno graph, if you have valve float the dyno lines are really squirly looking, normally they should be pretty streight.

Ok. It did it again really bad tonight. I put a friends PCM that is tuned for 224 cam and it freaking did the same thing. It did it around 4.5k rpm so I really don't think it is the valves. I pulled the plugs and they were around 50-60 thousandth, so I gapped them to 40-45 thousandth and we will see. Oh My motor felt lazy today compared to yesterday before I swapped PCM with my buddy, with his PCM it pulled good again like when i first got my PCM back .... Can the PCM be going back to low octane ignition map again some how???? I hate intermiten problems!

Checked compression for the heck of it, and it was 195-205psi. Rechecked the connection and they were ok. I freaking soldiered every connection so **** like this would not happen.
