Correct me if I'm wrong...it comes w/exciter rings installed on axles for 4 channel setup + backing plates, or do we still need to send ours(backing plates)to get put on the rear end?

The moser doesn't come setup. you have to assemble with your backing plates when you get the rear end.

Moser sends the rear-ends with the center section and the cover installed. The axles are shipped uninstalled, and you remove your old axles to reuse your old brake backing plates. The backing plates are installed on the new Moser rear-end, and the axles are slid in from the ends. Moser sends installation instructions with the rear-end.

The 4 channel exciter rings can be reused from your old 10 bolt, or Moser can supply new exciter rings for an additional $75.00. When we install these Moser 12 bolts at our shop on customer's cars that have the 4 channel option (ABS/TCS) we reuse the old exciter rings, it's pretty easy to do if you have access to a press. Most Napa shops can do this for you. Bob

No they don't, they come unpainted just like the factory 10 bolts do. Bob

We had one customer paint his new Moser 12 bolt at our shop prior to us installing it. We were installing an ATI ProCharger as well, so he had time for the paint to dry. He used POR15 and brushed it on. We left it sit out in the sun and it flowed out really nice and looked great. Bob

POR15 USED to be the best stuff ever, then they changed the formula and it's not nearly as good as it was. I heard it was an EPA thing over solvents or something.

Henderson, Nevada would be approx $100.00 for shipping, which is shipped freight collect. You would be looking at a total of $2,450.00. Thanks for inquiring. Bob

what would pricing be to 95521 also i have heard that the Moser's 12 bolts have issues with aftermarket torque arm bars (I have a 98 z/28 6 speed), so much so that BMR has a warning about it on their website. But I would very much like to get a 12 bolt so please let me know

Roughly $125.00 for shipping to you in Ca, the shipping is paid freight collect when the rearend arrives to you.

We use four grade 8 bolts for the torque arm mounting, and use plenty of red loc tite. We don't have a problem since we started using loc tite on the bolts. I would recommend periodically checking the bolts as a regular precaution. Bob

"IMPORTANT NOTICE TO MOSER 12 BOLT USERS: This product is only warrantable on rear axles that utilize the factory style "through bolts" to connect the torque arm to the rear end. Moser 12 bolt rear ends utilize a threaded bolt hole that has been proven to have bolt retention issues when used with aftermarket torque arms. If you have this particular rear axle, understand this warranty disclaimer and still wish to use this product, keep in mind that lock washers, or Loctite brand thread sealants are not substitutes for periodic bolt inspection."

That is taken directly from BMR who sells Moser as well, so basically i have to make sure that these bolts are tight always, how often? thanks

I have found that once every other month if you drive the car hard, and if they are always tight when you check them, then you can back off on checking them. Bob
