carbon fiber intake manifold. How hard is it to make one of those, and what do you need? or.. who makes them?

it looks to be a cover, not really the whole intake to me. I may be wrong.

NAh, it is definitely the cover. You can see under it where the fuel rail is.

Yea the cover is carbon fiber. Nice car, but for a price tag of over 60,000, you would expect it would be a built LS1 with a built trans.

Hell, the entire body looks like its glass. Take 10K off and maybe consiter it. Wait 10 or 12 years and that body will look like s**t.

Ive seen pics of a real deal individual throttle body manifold setup made of carbon fiber, must have been an Austrailian part since they are crazy ****'s and very familiar with LS1's.

I dont think there is much weight to be saved by using a CF IM but it would look pretty cool, might as well make valvecovers out of CF while youre at it.

^ haha exactly what I plan to do! I also want to do a set of "smooth" carbon fiber valvecovers for ppl with distributor conversion or coils re-mounted elsewhere.
