Default future HU... JVC KD-AVX1

been looking at it online for a few days now, and went up to a stereo place here and they had one on demo. its actually pretty pimp, and 1/3 of the cost of a bigger screen. i think (and hope) it will do everything i need/want it to do. quality has deffinitely gone up since i had an old kameleon jvc deck in my first truck
what do you all think?
HEADUNIT

oh yea...and anyone with any experience with the "HUmount" mounting brackets?
link
will that HU work with this?

i was actually looking into this thing too, but spending $600 makes me hesitant. I think its pretty cool overall the but screen is soo small. Ya its nice that you can watch DVD's but is it really worth spending that much to watch them on 3 inches? I think the feature I like the most is the optional backup camera. Also Ive been trying to find out if you can upload pics to it, but nothing says anything about that.

lol yea...no way in hell would i pay 600 bucks for it. i'll be getting it for ~$350. if im that in need to watch movies in my car, i can always add a screen or two to the visors.
i just never liked the way the flip out screens looked, and also dont want to deal with a touch screen and having it crap out prematurely or anything

I had looked at it and looks nice, but I have to have my steering wheel controls and it doesn't work with the PAC swi-x(is one of the decks listed on the PAC site).

I looked at buying that HU. My buddy has one is his z and I really liked it! I went to purchase one and then I saw the jenson vm9410 and it has a 7" screen and it was 100 bucks more so I went with that instead!

Thank You! Well, attaching the amp rack was a PIA. Steve (subthump) has instructions but for the TA, but it is confusing and hard to understand. So we came up with our own method. We took a 1x24 board and cut it to fit flush against the frame/bracket for the hatch release thing. (don't know what it's called) The board was 14" long and about 6" wide I believe. We drilled 2 holes in the wood so the rivets (from the tail light) would fit through it. We used the same wingnuts to tighten it down just enough so it wouldn't move. Pulled the carpet up as much as we could. Pulled the rack as tight as we could, and then shot some screws in it. And it worked! No problems so far. I wish we had takin some pics of it so you could get a better idea of what it looked like, but we didn't even think about it!

My total system consists of: Jenson VM9410, JL Audio XR650-csi, JL Audio XR650-cxi, JL Audio 10w3v2 w/ stealthbox, JL Audio 250/1, JL Audio 300/4
