WTF is goin' on w/ my car?

WTF is goin' on w/ my car? every couple of days or so i will be driving my car and it will surge like the car is turning off and then back on and my dash will flash and and the trip meter will set itself back to 0 miles. Is this a serious electrical problem coming up or what? Any help is extremely appreciated. Thanks.

What work has been done recently? Sounds like there is a loose/bad ground. Not sure, but I think an alternator going out may cause some **** like that too.

put the cam in about three months ago, and the halos in about a month ago. You think something from one of these installs is causing me trouble? BTW this problem started about 1-2 weeks ago.
