Building a Motor need some advice
Alright guys im thinking of building a motor for my 99 SS..Heres my goals, i wanna keep the car pretty driveable, and im gonna do a turbo, so here what i was thinking.
6.0 Liter Iron Block
Eagle Forged Crank
Eagle forged connecting rods
Forged Boost Pistons
then all the other little stuff i need, then i was thinking like a set of FLP stage 2 heads or Patriot stage 2 LS6 heads, and i nice turbo cam. Then for my turbo kit, i was thinking of using the 6.0 liter truck manifolds and run some 321 stainless into like a decent sized turbo (im not too too familiar with the turbos so im looking more into it)
Im just learning more and more guys, so dont bash me if this was a a stupid question, i was just trying to find out which way was better and cheaper, either build my own or buy something already done. If anyone has any advice please let me know..Thanks Alot

you can always just get the shortblock and some LQ9 heads and have some mild work done to them to save some dough , in my opinion heads are not as important in boosted applications as they are N/A...not that they wont provide power but I'd put my money into the bottom end...good luck
