Default Engine --advice for set-up

I bought this engine from a guy who said he ran a 11.94 with this same engine in his full sized monte carlo. I was wondering how much horsepower this combo should make. I have a 67 camaro this will be going in. I also wanted to know is there any part that would work better with my combo. Like a different cam or intake. I'm looking to get the most power with this set-up. Any help will be great. Could this motor also hold up to nitrous maybee a 75-100 shot. Thanks - Mike

monte carlos are heavy and about as aerodynamic as a shoe box, the camaro should be a little lighter, and the cam sounds good...i would consider a edelbrock victor series intake personally, not a fan of the wieands, what kind of rocker arms are you using? I would get a set of 1.6 rollers on there if they arnt already on, and how big are the headers? carb? is the motor a 2 or 4 bolt main? if it is a 4 it should handle a 100 shot with no problems...

I say it looks pretty good. I personally would want a cam with a little more overlap and lobe seperation, maybe a 270/280ish with about 110 lsa. But the cam sounds good for a street car. I would also go to victor jr. and some roller rockers. I would be careful about using the 1.6's though. I used a .500 lift cam with the same pistons and have very little exhaust valve clearance. So 1.6's might overdue it. Good luck.

i used those pistons with a comp cams 292 series .501 lift with the 1.6 roller rockers and exhaust clearance was close, but still alright..

I'm running a set of the Speed Pro Hypers, and am running .688 lift with over .120 valve clearance.

Isn't the Stealth a dual plane?

If so, go to a single plane if spraying, as a dual plane has def. mixture issues. 100 will not hurt, unless you lean out or under octane.

thats a very good point i forgot to add, make sure you run some high octane gas when spraying and run a single plane manifold..preferably the victor jr. series..
