Default How much $$$ for a 7k RPM valvetrain

I'm figuring out the parts/cost of what I have planned for my engine. Peak hp will be 6000-6200 rpms so I'll be looking at around 6600 rpm shift points. I already figure hardened pushrods, titanium retainers, guideplates, lightweight springs............what else?

I just changed out my valvetrain in my BBC. It spun hard to 7,000 with the previous hydraulic roller cam. I threw over $1200 at the valvetrain, swapped to a solid roller to get more power, go faster, and spin high rpms without worrying.
I went with a crower custom grind cam, kit came with springs, retainers, keepers, rev kit. got a stud girdle also. i'll be using my same full roller rockers.
A pair of the solid roller lifters weighed like 44 grams less than a pair of my hydraulic roller lifters. multiply that times 8.
granted i need some longer pushrods now, but thats taking some weight out of the valvetrain!

If you can afford it, swing for a set of shaft mount rockers, 700 - 800 range I think. Makes flex a thing of the past, no valve guides, and easy to adjust too. Best investment ever if you have solid roller cam.

Go with the shaft mounted rockers, and a good set of solid lifters. You don't need light weight springs? You will need a very good set of springs. If you go this route 7500 rpm would be possible. We are talking about a SBC correct?
Also take a look at a Jesel belt drive, Comp Cams makes one as well. Depends on your budget but it well worth it. Let me know if I can help.

My 383 will be spinning up to 8000 RPM's. I have Crower solid roller lifters with hi pressure pin oiling. Jesel Comp series shaft rockers. Chet Herbert 3/8" .080 wall 4340 pushrods. Crower custom Billet steel cam. Crower 1.550" double springs with damper 235#closed and 640# open

This is really starting to look expensive, even though I don't plan on going over 7k, 6600 or so is close enough so that I don't want to break anything missing a shift. I didn't think a solid roller and shaft mounted rockers and everything would be necessary. Looking like you can get 2k into a valvetrain easy.......

Before the shaft rockers I had stud mounted but I couldn't use them on my Iron Eagle Platinums. The rockers before were Crower Stud mounts. The cam, rockers, lifters, springs, pushrods and retainers were $1450. So -$300 for the stud mounts +$1100 for the shaft rockers. $2250 in Valve train. Not including the valves.
