Default headgaskets, advantage??

I bought the MLS gaskets, 12573949 and I was wondering if they are the same thickness as the regular graphite ones. Or if there are any advantages/disadvatages with using them. I should have asked first but I jumped on the sale that was on here..

I am using them on an 01 with LS6 heads
