Default Low coolant level light??

Last night on my way to work, my low coolant level light came on. The temp guage stayed at about 200. I let it cool off and checked the radiator level and it was full and so was the overflow? So this morning I start the car and the light did not come on untill the temp got to around 200. What could this be? Bad sensor? Thanks, Kathy

Those sensors are pesky, they just act up and go out sometimes. Sometimes the little sensor (on the radiator) gets build-up on it, and reads incorrectly. As long as your radiator is filled, you have nothing to worry about. If the "low coolant" light bothers you, have the sensor replaced.

It's part of owning a camaro. That sensor is junk and they always go bad. It's kind of like GM wanted us to have a reminder of the crap we bought!

It came on a couple times in my 98. I think they are just really pesky.
