V6-V8 clutch master cyl different?

V6-V8 clutch master cyl different? I have to get another master cylinder rod for the adjustable one I made. I managed to put a nice s bend in the rod. All I need is a rod so I was thinking I would just get one from a junk yard. But I already know form experiance all the yards around here only have v6 manual cars. So is the master cylinder the same from v6-v8? Or atleast the rod?
