Who has the Fastest F-Body using a true STS?
Hey guys... this in NOT an great chance to flame STS. Please keep it to the topic.
I was up at FASTECH till 12:30AM last night (Thanks GUYS!!!) and the subject came up. I know there is a Vette doing 9's with a all custom Rear mount turbo setup. But I would like to know if there are any F-Bodys on TRUE STS setups in the tens?
When I say true STS I mean an STS setup factory or VERY close to factory setup.
Thanks!!!
Jared

Wow i am very impressed. Almost a 10 on jsut 5 lbs of boost! This may be the kit for me! How is installation and ease compared to a normal turbo kit? Is it easier to use? Thanks

hey Longrange4u.... are you lowered? I am seriosuly looking into going with a turbo kit and do not know if i should be looking into the STS kit. Im lowered 2 inches on 18's. How are the problems compared to a front mounted set up? Should i really be giving this kit a shot? What are some advantages/disadvantages of the rear mount? Thanks...... doesnt it make puddles a nightmare also?

I went 11.13 several months ago on the stock longblock. Hope to do better with some modifications I'm currently working on. Of course I'm running 10psi with the 67 turbo.

We did an STS Turbo Camaro SS for a customer. With a bad MAF he went 11.20 in the 1/4 mile on his first ever pass down a track! This was at 6 psi of boost. Once we replaced the maf, the rwhp went from 450 to 510 rwhp on my Mustang Chassis Dyno, at 6 psi. This car will easily be in the 10's at 6 psi, hard to say what it will do at the 14 psi high boost setting...
