hot bulbs melt things
ummm, just wanted to remind folks that a lot of the superbight after maket interior and exterior bulbs will melt your light housings, or lenses.
so far i have wrecked the interior dome light lense and the driving light housings in the front.
in both cases i was using "approved" aftermarket crap. therefore no warranty and worse of all: a trip to my local g.m. dealer with gobs of cash.
if it's plastic, it is expensive and too easy to melt

LEDs dont generate much heat at all. I can touch mine all day long and they never get warmer than my finger. Either youre running incandescant and were tricked into thinking LED, or your LED's resistors values arent high enough.
